Hammer and Hanging Man

HAMMERS are another easy to identify Candlestick pattern.   They will have a lower wick that is at least three times their body length and the body color is not of importance.  There are two such patterns shown in the graphic above.  The one on the right is more properly known as a Gravestone Doji, but it is still considered a Hammer.
Hammers that would appear at the top of an upward trend are call Hanging Men.
In either case, they are both a signal of a reversal at hand and generally very reliable.
