Drawdown

A Drawdown is a loss of PROFITS as compared to a loss of CAPITAL ( before profits ).
Trading systems will typically provide you with a maximum "drawdown" figure when backtesting their methods.
It is generally considered to be a loss of profits, as a loss of capital would have been considered a stop-loss figure placed at the intial onset of the trade to limit the downside risk.
